About Me
I am a Research Associate at the Chair of Empirical Economics at Trier University, Germany.
My primary research interests are in political economy, with particular emphasis on geoeconomics, international conflicts and regime dynamics, as well as in applied statistics and econometrics.
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics, an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics and an M.A. in International Economics & Public Policy, alongside undergraduate degrees in Economics (B.Sc.) and Political Science (B.A.). During my bachelor’s and master’s studies, I spent exchange semesters at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), HEC Liège (Belgium), Istanbul Technical University, and Istanbul Kültür University (Turkey).
In addition to my academic work, I am the co-founder of a small SaaS company that develops and hosts Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) web services (ViOffice). Alongside my PhD, I have worked at the Big Data Department of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology. Earlier in my career, I gained practical experience through internships in Luxembourg and at the European Parliament in Brussels.
